Project Manager's Role

The role of a Project Manager is to supervise the total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.  This includes interfacing with client representatives and/or Architect/Engineer representatives.  They will also provide technical assistance in interpretation of drawings, and recommendation of construction methods and equipment as required.  A Project Manager is responsible for overall quality of the project and acceptance by the owner.

Mike Stevens
Project Manager

Mr. Stevens has over 32 years experience in the construction industry and 20 years as a project manager, with the last 18 years here at Commercial Building Services, Inc. His experience includes building and supervising schools in New Mexico and Colorado (Kennedy HS project), commercial, residential, industrial, and tenant finish projects working as an Estimator, Superintendent, and project Manager on projects ranging from $50,000 to $10 million

Blake Trnka
Project Manager

Blake Trnka has over 13 years in construction experience, 5 of which have come at CBS.  Blake studied Architecture at Metro State University in Denver, CO and has worked on a variety of projects, ranging from $500,000 to $200 million. He is certified in CPR, fall protection, scaffolding, fork and boom lifts, including others.

Scott Alie
Chief Estimator

Scott has been involved in the construction industry since helping build farm ponds in Africa with the US Peace Corps after graduating from Colorado State University with a BS degree and certification in Construction Management. 

He has been with CBS since 2015. Prior to his work with CBS, Scott worked on-site as a Project Manager and Estimator with a number of environmental engineering and commercial construction companies throughout the US and Canada. Scott has recently attended commercial building school at Nucor Building Systems in Utah and is a long time member of the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE), Denver chapter. Scott obtained his LEED AP certification in 2006 and has been involved in a number of LEED certified projects

He has worked on a variety of commercial and government projects, ranging from a several thousand dollars to $400 million. Scott’s scope of work includes commercial, industrial, tenant finish, and residential construction.
